Derrick is a husband, father, author, speaker, and consultant. He was raised in Detroit (in the “hood”) with only limited knowledge of the world of food and drink. As a former pastor, he’s taken on the title of the “Vicar of Vino.”
It was while serving in the Navy that Derrick began to expand his palette. Traveling extensively in Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East, he developed a taste for good food and a love of fine wines.
One of the things that Derrick brings to the table is a desire to share his knowledge of wine without in an approachable, fun manner.
